Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
10+2 with 50% marks AND a 2-year Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) course or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

OR
Senior Secondary with 50% marks AND a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

OR
Graduation AND a 2-year JBT or D.El.Ed.

OR
Post-Graduation (min 55%) AND a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Mandatory: Must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by HPBOSE or an authorized agency.

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026)

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 45 years
Note: Upper age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and Government employees of Himachal Pradesh.

Application Fees

All Categories: Rs. 800/- (Rs. 100 Examination fee + Rs. 700 Processing fee).
Correction Fee: Rs. 100/- (applicable if changes are made during the 7-day correction window).
Mode of Payment: Online only via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

Mode of Selection
The selection process involves an Objective Type Screening Test:

Format: Computer Based Test (CBT) or OMR-based multiple-choice questions.
Total Marks: 120 marks.
Duration: 1.5 hours.
Syllabus: General Knowledge (including Himachal Pradesh and Current Affairs), Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English, and General Hindi (Matric Standard).
