Himachal Pradesh Pashu Mitra Bharti 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Department of Animal Husbandry has officially released the recruitment notification of “Pashu Mitra Policy 2025” for the engagement of Multi task Workers to be known as “Pashu Mitra”.

Normal/Neighboring resident of Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Body falling in the Jurisdiction of concerned Veterinary Institution.
Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
Able bodied, physically fit and having a sound mind.
Should be of sound character.

Selection Criteria and Marks Distribution

Essential Educational Qualification (For this purpose, percentage of marks in Matric shall be multiplied by 0.85. For Example, a candidate scoring 50% marks in Matric will be awarded 50×0.85=42.5 marks)	85
Preference for Practical Experience in Animal Husbandry: To be decided on the basis of certificate as per Annexure-B. Maximum of 4.5 marks will be allotted if applicant or any member of his family (as per Pariwar Register) owns: • Tagged/registered large Animal(s) – Cow/Buffalo → 4.5 • Horse/Mule → 3.5 • Poultry Farm of more than 100 birds → 3.5 • Tagged Small Animal(s) – Sheep/Goat → 2.5 • Poultry Unit of not less than 30 birds → 1 • Untagged Large/Small Animals/Poultry Birds → 1	4.5 (Max)
Preference for permanent resident of the Gram Panchayat: (Subject to Maximum Marks -1) to be decided as per copy of Pariwar Register of the Gram Panchayat/ULB as under: • Permanent resident of Gram Panchayat/ULB where engagement is being done → 1 • Any Gram Panchayat sharing boundary with Gram Panchayat/ULB where engagement is being done → 0.6 • Any Other Gram Panchayat → 0.3	1 (Max)
