The Ministry of Railways has issued the Railway Protection Force (RPF) Amendment Rules 2025, introducing updated guidelines for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Executive) and Constable (Executive) positions. The objective of these changes is to bring RPF recruitment procedures in closer alignment with the standards followed by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The new rules have come into force from the day they were notified in the Official Gazette. A major focus of the amendment is the revision of age criteria, physical measurements, and the selection process for direct entry candidates. These updates have been implemented to ensure higher transparency, uniformity, and improved physical fitness norms across all central security organizations.
